we have had NSDSP programmer. We have sold the programmer and are not using it because of possible espionage doubts. It is possible that the NSDSP software shicks data away from the computer to Moscow to Putin's hackers.

You cannot connect a thermocouple directly to the MCU ADC. You need to use a dedicated circuit like ADS1220 or other. Also, you need to solve the linearization of the thermocouple.
