test chamber

Post by Jacques »

hi to all. I have an idea. I would like to build a test chamber for testing electronic components and systems at different temperatures. My question is what is the best way to do this? What material should I use for the chamber? Any help appreciated.

Do you want a cooling test box for sub-zero temperatures or do you want a heating test box? Test box sizes?

I made a heating test box from an older 19" 10U rack. The insulation is made of Aeroglue and the heating is done with an infrared lamp. The temperature is controlled with a TC connected to the MCU outside the box.

I make a test chamber from used HP E8400A C-Size VXI Mainframe bought on eBay. The mainframe has very powerful power supply and is quite big. I did only the door for the mainframe.. The temperature inside is controlled by one adapter inserted in the last VXI position.
